LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Sheriffâs deputies were involved in a standoff Friday in Lawton.
It started around 10 a.m. at a home near 7th and A Ave. The Comanche County Sheriffâs Department says deputies went there to follow up on an eviction notice.
They spoke to the man who was being evicted, who then ran inside and locked the door.
The landlord told 7News the tenant had been given several notices and refused to leave the property.

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A Lawton man has been charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs after investigators say they found a large quantity methamphetamine during a traffic stop April, 19.
According to the affidavit, an officer pulled over a white Cadillac after witnessing the driver exceeding the speed limit in Elmer Thomas Park.

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Comanche County voters will get a chance to extend a public safety tax thatâs been around for a few decades.
Every seven years, the Comanche County Public Safety tax has to be voted on again by community members.
Chris Jones is the Indiahoma Fire Department Chief.
He said the Public Safety Tax brings in steady income every month that Indiahoma and other volunteer fire departments rely on.

COMANCHE COUNTY, Okla. (TNN) - Authorities have identified the victim and suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened at a home near Highway 65 and NE Cache Road around 11 a.m.
Officials with the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department say the victim was identified as David Hawk and the suspect, Joe Champion, is being held on a murder complaint.
According to authorities, Champion was helping a friend move out of the home but went back for another bag. Champion went up to the residence to get the bag and came in contact with Hawk.
