Rockefeller Group announced that law firm Latham & Watkins LLP has leased an additional half floor at 1271 Avenue of the Americas, bringing the office space in the building to 100 percent leased after completion of a $600 million redevelopment project.
The law firm is the largest tenant in the 2.1 million square foot building, now occupying more than 435,000 square feet.
First completed in 1959, 1271 was the first building developed in the expansion of Rockefeller Center to the west side of Sixth Avenue. The 48-story building, at 50th Street opposite Radio City Music Hall, was originally owned in partnership with Time Inc., its anchor tenant for nearly 60 years.

The Rolling Stones will soon release footage and audio from their 2006 concert at Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach.
The Stones will release a 5-song EP on May 28th as a preview featuring “Sympathy For The Devil,” “Wild Horses,” “You Got Me Rocking,” “Happy,” and “Rough Justice.”
The Rolling Stones: Rain Fall Down (Live on Copacabana Beach) / Rough Justice (Live In Salt Lake City) will also be released as a limited-edition 10-inch picture disc on the first Record Store Day on June 12th.
Talking about the 2006 performance,
Keith Richards said, Not that we re unused to playing some of the biggest shows in the world, but I must say Rio did take the cake.”

This is a must have for any Rolling Stones fan!! The Rolling Stones is reissuing another live album/concert film. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers is set to release “A Bigger Bang: Live on Copacabana Beach,” on July 9th. The Copacabana concert took place February 2006 in Rio de Janeiro and was a free show, which attracted a crowd that was said to be one of the largest ever. “Not that we’re unused to playing some of the biggest shows in the world, but I must say Rio did take the cake,” Keith Richards noted. The live set will be released in a variety of formats including Blu-ray/two-CD, three-LP, a deluxe two-CD/two-DVD, and more. The deluxe version of the release will also feature a bonus Salt Lake City concert. I m looking forward to this one. What about you?
