That s the view of Labour Councillor Conor Sheehan who says more public toilet access and an increase in bins and waste collection should be considered.
It follows a surge in litter across various beauty spots in the city during a short spell of hot weather last weekend

SUSTAINABLE development advocate Caillum Hedderman will join a panel tonight to discuss the future of the Leaving Certificate.
Labour councillor Conor Sheehan is hosting a discussion on the future of the examination, especially in the wake of the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on it.
Also taking part will be his party colleague, Senator Annie Hoey, a former president of the Union of Students in Ireland.
It all gets under way at 7pm, and can be accessed through Cllr Sheehan’s Facebook page.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, the City North councillor told of how he was impressed at the campaigning by 18-year-old Caillum, a sixth-year student at John the Baptist Community School in Hospital.

WITH political leaders and health bosses urging an “outdoor summer”, anger has been expressed at anti-social behaviour and littering following open-air drinking in Limerick.
Glorious sunshine over the weekend saw many people relax by the River Shannon.
And while the vast majority were well-behaved, gardai were forced to intervene in a number of large congregations of people.
The local authority has stepped up its cleaning shifts this week following an increase in littering, with one councillor, Conor Sheehan, condemning the “absolutely disgusting” and “feckless” behaviour of some people.

GARDAÍ are investigating an alleged indecency incident that is believed to have occurred in the Caherdavin area at around 7pm on Wednesday, April 21.
It is understood to be linked to reports of a man engaging in adult behaviour, on his own, in a car while children were in the vicinity.
Local councillor, Conor Sheehan said he was made aware of these reports at the weekend. I immediately contacted An Garda Síochána. I would advise anyone who may witness behaviour like this to contact the gardaí immediately; forward any images to them and to refrain from posting or sharing anything of this nature on social media, said Cllr Sheehan.
