WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. â Wheat Ridge police are searching for a homicide suspect after he allegedly fled from a stolen car Wednesday morning.
The Wheat Ridge Police Department said they saw a male suspect flee from a stolen car around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday at W. 44th Avenue and Lee Street. The man is a homicide suspect, according to Sara Spaulding, public information officer with the City of Wheat Ridge.
A CodeRED, which is an emergency notification sent by officials, was issued for the area. Residents should stay inside and not answer their door as police search the area.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. â A woman is looking for her service dog after waking up from a seizure and discovering the dog was gone.
The Wheat Ridge Police Department responded a report of a missing service dog, Tank, at 4700 Kipling St, near the off ramp for eastbound Kipling Street at about 9 a.m.
According to the owner, she woke up after having a seizure and Tank wasn t there.
Tank is a one-year-old full breed German Shepard. Tank was wearing a blue harness, a blue collar and had a green leash.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. â Police in Wheat Ridge said they are searching for a truck that was stolen Thursday morning with a dog inside.
The Wheat Ridge Police Department said the pickup is a Toyota Tacoma with California license plates. It was stolen near Interstate 70 and Kipling.
The dog is a neutered male pitbull-rottweiler mix named Buddy. He is brown and black with white paws, police said.

GEORGETOWN, Colo. â Sophie Egan and her husband Rob Egan have been through it all together. They drink their coffee together in the morning and from time to time they go on walks.
Sophie has also been right by her husband s side since he suffered a major stroke three years ago.
âThe doctors actually told me heâs not going to make it, and if he did make it, he would never be able to speak, understand language, eat or really function anymore, and heâs beat all of those odds, said Sophie.
