Fort Hood officials said that reports of an active shooter on post Wednesday morning, was a false alarm.
According to a statement, after receiving a credible report, the Fort Hood Directorate of Emergency Services cleared a motor pool of civilians and soldiers out of an abundance of caution.
It was later determined to be a false report.

FORT HOOD, TX â Areas of Fort Hood have been placed on a boil water notice, according to the Fort Hood Garrison Command.
The notice begins Friday, March 5 and includes several facilities in two specified areas of North Ford Hood.
Buildings in the 57000 block in the vicinity of the Longhorn Air Strip, as well as Shorthorn Air Strip, are affected.

There have been some changes to Fort Hood gyms and the business hours for the main Post Exchange on post.
The Fort Hood Garrison Command on Monday released an update on services available to soldiers, their families and Department of Defense identification card holders.
Some gym services run by Fort Hood Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation have been expanded. The Burba, Iron Horse and West Fort Hood physical fitness centers are now open to all DoD ID card holders at 50% occupancy. The fitness centers are open from 5 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Burba Fitness Center is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Fort Hood Garrison Command announced on its Facebook page on Sunday that stop signs will be installed at a four-way intersection on post as a trial.
The signs are at 24th Street and Wainwright Drive and will be in place for the next 30 days to see if it will help with children walking to school, according to the Facebook page.
Physical training traffic will be affected for those who pass by that intersection. Soldiers are advised to give themselves additional time to make it to morning PT.
