KOTA TINGGI: A 29-year-old assistant manager has claimed trial here for allegedly insulting Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on social media.
The accused, Mohamad Arif Ahmad, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read in front of Judge Wan Mohd Norisham Wan Yaakob at the Kota Tinggi Sessions Court here on Sunday (July 18).
According to the charge sheet, Arif had released a statement on Twitter at about 5.20am on Oct 25 last year with the intention of hurting the feelings of others.
