The Cotter City Council will consider a special election during its regular December session Thursday evening at 6.
The council will decide on the possibility of asking voters to consider levying a one-percent sales and use tax and to approve issuing bonds for the purpose of financing a portion of the cost for sewer improvements.
The council will also consider resolutions to enter into a Cotter/Gassville interlocal agreement, to enter into an engineering contract with ESI, Inc. and to adopt the 2021 operating budget. In addition, the agenda includes a possible yearly contribution of $110 to the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District and the appointment of council member Carolyn Gill to the Cotter-Gassville Sewer Commission.
