August Adventures offers free museum admission Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River and the New Bedford Whaling Museum are among the many places your family can enjoy for free this month as the Highland Street Foundation launches its August Adventures program. Each day throughout the month of August there is one museum, zoo, nature sanctuary or event offered with no admission fee. August Adventures, modeled after Highland Street’s long-standing Free Fun Fridays program, will provide enriching opportunities for individuals, children and families throughout the state. From children’s museums to art to nature sanctuaries, there is something for everyone.
