A suspect in a Thibodaux shooting was arrested Thursday after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through Terrebonne Parish, authorities said.
Emmett Willie Carr Jr., 19, of Houma, is charged with aggravated flight, flight from an officer, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs, obstruction of justice, criminal property damage, hit-and-run driving, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and other drug-related charges, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
The pursuit began around 7:15 p.m. Thursday after deputies responded to a police bulletin regarding a suspect vehicle that was involved with a shooting that occurred earlier on Ridgeway Street in Thibodaux, authorities said.

Three people accused of burglarizing Terrebonne power substation

Three people were arrested after burglarizing a SLECA power substation in , authorities said.
Jordan Price Sr., 37, is charged with simple burglary and criminal trespass. Christopher Authement, 32, is charged with failure to appear in court, illegal possession of stolen things and simple burglary. Taylor Chauvin, 27, is charged with failure to appear in court and principal to simple burglary, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to a break-in around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 2000 block of Coteau Road, where a large amount of copper wire and been stolen and company vehicles had been burglarized, authorities said.
