Thanks to local generosity, Park County deputies have better protection while they work to protect our communities.

The Park County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division Deputies were presented with new Angel Armor body Armor, provided by the Organization SHIELD 616 in partnership with local community donors.
Roughly $2,400 per Patrol Deputy was donated to provide each one with a new state-of-the-art vest and helmet. The Angel Armor RISE 2.0 vests come with Truth SNAP 308 C Plates and a Revision BALTSKIN VIPER A3 helmet.
Wyoming community reports approx. 25 auto burglaries in a matter of weeks
The Wyoming Community of Cody says that they are facing a rash of automobile burglaries, and are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect.
A statement from the Cody Police Department says that they have received approximately 25 Auto Burglary reports in the past few weeks.
“An unknown person is entering unlocked vehicles at various locations throughout the Cody area and stealing items of value from inside,” the Cody Police Department reported on Monday.

The suspect is described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt, low-riding skinny jeans, and black-toed boots or shoes.

There have been several incidents near Cody schools this January, proving that Cody’s drivers need to take school zones and student safety more seriously.
Park County School District #6 Superintendent Peg Monteith was informed of several dangerous encounters between vehicles and Cody school district students, staff, and buses. In just the last week:
A Cody High School student was crossing Sheridan Avenue by City Park when they were hit by a vehicle. The student’s ankle was injured but there was no other serious injury.
A crossing guard at Eastside Elementary School was almost hit by a pick-up truck Tuesday morning.
Twin Brothers Found Dead in Wyoming, Police Launch Investigation

Twin brothers were found dead inside their home in Wyoming over the weekend, as police launch an investigation to determine the cause of death.
The men, aged 61, were discovered just before 5 p.m. on Saturday after a coworker became concerned when one of the men didn t show up for work.
Police responded to a welfare check at an address on Sheridan Avenue in Cody, according to an incident report filed by the Cody Police Department.
One of the men had recently tested positive for COVID-19, however police could not immediately confirm if the virus played a role in the deaths, the force told the
