The 2021 NFL Draft was unique in that it saw multiple quarterbacks reunited with their offensive weapons from college.
Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne were a Clemson first-round package deal to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow, once on the LSU Tigers, are now both on the Cincinnati Bengals, the NFL’s tiger team. The Miami Dolphins paired Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle with Tua Tagovailoa.
Of course, the latter wasn’t the only restored Crimson Tide connection. The Philadelphia Eagles created their own Tuscaloosa reunion by selecting DeVonta Smith at No. 10 to catch passes from Jalen Hurts once again.

As the dots continue to connect the Green Bay Packers quarterback to the Mile High City, CBS Sports Cody Benjamin presented four potential offers that could close arguably the biggest trade deal in NFL history.

Darius Slay is taking advantage of the NFL loosening their jersey number restrictions. The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback will no longer be wearing No. 24 and instead will be sporting the No. 2 jersey moving forward.
Slay previously expressed his interest in switching to No. 2 on Twitter. Miles Sanders also had an interest in that number but the veteran clearly won out.
Slay has a history with No. 2; he wore it when he played junior college football at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. A nice homage to his path up to the NFL.

It’s the day after Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft. Which means it is Judgment Day. Or, more directly, NFL Draft Grades day. How did the New York Giants do by trading down and selecting wide receiver Kadarius Toney 20th overall?
Giants fans overwhelmingly love GM Dave Gettleman’s first-ever trade down. Of 4,964 voters in our poll, 4,272 (86 percent) said they liked the move that netted the Giants a fifth-round pick this year and first- and fourth-round picks next year from the Chicago Bears. Only 692 voters (14 percent) were unhappy.

Green Bay has 10 picks this year, including the 29th overall selection.
Draft experts across the country are looking at some of the needs for the reigning NFC North champions.
The Packers will have to rebuild the middle of their defense after losing inside linebacker Christian Kirksey, who was third on the team in total tackles, to free agency.
To fill that void, CBS Sports writers Cody Benjamin and Josh Edwards both predict that Green Bay will focus on defense in the first round by drafting linebacker Zaven Collins out of Tulsa.
