McFadden and Walk Chosen as Wyoming Shrine Bowl Coaches Matt McFadden from Cody High School will be the North Team Head Coach. Brent Walk of Mountain View High School will be the South Team Head Coach. High school football coaches from across the state of Wyoming nominate one coach among their peers to serve in this role. That is according to a release from the Wyoming Shrine Bowl Executive Director. One coach is chosen from the North and one is picked from the South. The 48th annual game is planned for Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Cheney Alumni Field at Natrona County High School in Casper.

The Cody High School speech and debate team participated in the Cheyenne East Holiday Classic Tournament, held from Friday, Dec. 18 thru Saturday, Dec. 19. Due to the ongoing pandemic, all the team’s tournaments are held virtually with students being judged via internet video calls. Unlike most of their statewide peers, who participate from their own homes, the Cody team has been meeting together at the high school. Perhaps that’s their secret to speaking success.

Free Meals for Cody School District Covered Thru End of School Year | | Big Horn Radio Network

Written by Andrew-Rossi on December 14, 2020 Generous donors have ensured no Cody students will go hungry for the rest of this unprecedented school year. Gen Sheets, Director of Food Services at Cody High School, announced Wednesday that the community has come together once again and supported their efforts to keep Cody’s students healthy and well-fed. That generosity has extended thru 2020 to the end of the current school year. The district’s nutrition department estimated they would be able to provide breakfasts and lunches to any student that needed meals up to winter break – Dec. 23. Now, thanks to donors, they will be able to provide those meals to all students in need for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year, ending on May 28.
