Coca-Cola Amatil sale in doubt unless suitor lifts price Save Share Coca-Cola European Partners’ $9 billion offer for Coca-Cola Amatil may not proceed unless the European bottler agrees to lifts its price, analysts say. Macquarie Capital analysts said Amatil shareholders might vote against the proposed offer unless Coke Europe’s $12.75 a share offer, through a scheme of arrangement, was revised upwards. Amatil shares are trading at $13.12, 37¢ above Coke Europe’s offer, after surging 1.6 per cent following a better than expected trading update on Friday. The shares had been trading above the offer price since mid-November. Coca-Cola Amatil shares are trading 37 cents above Coke Europe’s $12.75 a share offer.
