Coca-Cola Amatil is hoping an influx of Australians stopping off for refreshments while on interstate road trips will stimulate the $10 billion drinks giantâs sales, as international travel remains off the cards for much of 2021.
Chief executive Alison Watkins said a boom in domestic tourism brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic was having a âsurprising benefitâ for Amatilâs Australian operations, which have otherwise been battered by the virus.

âWe are seeing some of our regional towns really booming, and obviously thatâs great for those regional economies, but also for our business,â she said.
Coca-Cola Amatil is hoping sales will be boosted by any spike in the number of Australians stopping off for a cold drink while on an interstate road trips.
