According to the information shared by the Regional Disaster Management Cell of
Thane Municipal Corporation, the pipeline was damaged near Telephone Exchange on Gokhale Road in Vishnu Nagar.
The incident took place around 6 am and no one has been injured.
A video from the location shows water gushing out of the pipe.
Naupada area civic officials rushed to the spot and the repair work was completed by 12 pm. Water supply to the affected areas started smoothly, RDMC chief

Residents of a
Goregaon (East) have taken the initiative to develop a
recreational garden that was denied to them by their developer following a decade-long struggle that included a legal battle at
Bombay High Court.
The Dheeraj Valley Residents Welfare Association (DVRWA), on Gokhale Road, is a registered association of three buildings collectively known as ‘Dheeraj Valley’. The developer, owner, architect neglected to develop the RG plot earmarked in the approved plans. In the given circumstances, DVRWA has taken the initiative to develop and maintain the RG for the benefits of the members, in compliance of a Bombay High Court order.
