International Motors is in advanced discussions to take over the Mitsubishi Motors UK aftersales business.Â
The deal is due to take effect in the autumn, pending the completion of a successful due diligence process, and follows the announcement of Mitsubishi s plans to exit the UK new vehicle market.
International Motors, which is currently the official UK importer for Subaru and Isuzu, says it has a parts distribution business and IT infrastructure into which the Mitsubishi aftersales operation could be integrated with relative ease.
Andrew Edmiston, managing director of International Motors s parent company IM Group, said: We are widely recognised for our award-winning customer service and we are confident that we will be able to offer the high quality of service Mitsubishi customers are accustomed to.Â
