Flowers laid at the Christchurch Botanical Gardens in the wake of the March 15 attack.
A trust set up in Christchurch to support the Muslim community after the Christchurch mosque shootings believes the city is “building bridges” as the second anniversary approaches. The Canterbury Muslim Community Trust was set up in 2014 and followed on from the work of the Building Bridges Muslim Advisory Group, which had operated the previous four years. Ten trustees actively work for the group. The main purpose of the trust is to support the Muslim community within the Canterbury region and to build and strengthen the connection with the wider community.
