New Delhi, Mar 06: In a recent development, an Alwar Court in Rajasthan is all set to hold the final hearing of the Alwar lynching case on Saturday. On Monday, the court had denied further arguments in the case and had decided to hold the final hearing of this 2018 case.
Rakbar Khan was allegedly killed by people who claimed to be gau rakshaks in suspicion of cow smuggling. On July 20, 2018, the youth, a resident of Haryana, was killed in Alwar while transporting cows to his village Kolgaon.

PALGHAR: Sixteen months after an unidentified man was found dead on railway tracks in Maharashtra s Palghar, police have traced his family on the basis of DNA samples, an official said on Saturday.
The decomposed body of the man, 32, was found on railway tracks between Palghar and Boisar railway stations in October 2019, he said.
The deceased could not be identified.
But the bones of the dead man were preserved at a laboratory in Mumbai for DNA testing, senior inspector Yogesh Atmaram Devare of Palghar railway police station said.

Jaipur: As the Rakbar Khan lynching case heads to its final hearing on March 6, the Rajasthan government has appointed another Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) in the case.
Senior advocate Nasir Ali Naqvi, who is also handling the Pehlu Khan lynching case, has been appointed as the SPP.

The Wire, Naqvi said, “I will be arguing the case in the final hearing. Currently, I’m going through the case documents.”
Rakbar’s 73-year-old mother Habiban and key witness in his case and Rakhbar’s friend Aslam Khan (32), in an application, had accused the court of Additional District Judge No. 1 of bias.
