PLANS for 70 new homes to be built in a village have been revealed. Tollgate Partnership has submitted two outline planning applications to create the new estates on land west of The Folley, Layer-de-la-Haye. One is for up to 39 of the homes will be market properties with 16 affordable homes planned. The other is for seven market homes and eight affordable properties.  Two access routes into the estate are planned from Greate House Farm Road and The Folley. The site, split into two parcels of land, has been allocated for housing in Colchester Council s Local Plan. A planning statement reads: The site is located adjacent to the existing settlement boundary of Layer-de-la-Haye - a recognised sustainable settlement.
