SLNC Greenway going forward   ); It has been revealed in some recent information, which has come to light, that Leitrim County Council has opened up an e-tender procedure to obtain the services of a design group to commence an initial design, route selection, environmental reports and documents supporting a statutory development consent/planning course for the SLNCR Greenway project. This progress in this vital for North Leitrim future project has been welcomed by many local people. The 45 miles SLNCR Greenway will provide excellent route for all walkers and cyclists, beginning in Enniskillen and ending in Collooney and going via Belcoo, Blacklion, Glenfarne, Manorhamilton, Dromahair, Ballintogher, Ballygawley on the way.

‘Unscrupulous fraudster’ resident in Kinlough has to come up with €15,000 or face 20 months in jail Reporter:   ); A Kinlough-based haulier that a judge described as “an unscrupulous fraudster” has been told to come up with €15,000 by this Thursday or face 20 months in jail. Sligo District Court was told how Edward Jason Sutherland Taylor with addresses at Melvin Fields, Kinlough, Co Leitrim and Rathneeeny, Laghey, Co Donegal had sent his lorry drivers on the road with false insurance certificates for a period of almost four years, from 2015 to 2019. Those drivers were then prosecuted for driving with no insurance and there were some claims as a result of road traffic accidents.

N4 is closed southbound following a crash near Collooney Published: Saturday, 03 April 2021 11:43 The outbound lane of the N4 from Sligo to Collooney remains closed following a two car road traffic collision. The crash happened north of Collooney shortly after 9 o’clock this morning. Emergency services and Gardaí attended the scene. There are no reports of any serious injuries at this time. Traffic is being diverted onto the N59 through Ballisodare and then onto the Collooney/Ballisodare Rd (R290) to rejoin the N4. Sligo County Council has advised that high vehicles travelling southbound should park until further notice due to bridge height restrictions at Carrignagat on the R290.
