Paedophile Colin Blanchard has been referred to the Parole Board to be considered for release after serving nine years in prison for running one of the most sickening paedophile rings this country has seen .
Blanchard, 51, previously of Smithy Bridge, was given an indeterminate sentence in 2011 for child sex abuse charges and told he must serve a minimum of nine years in jail.
The leader of a paedophile ring, Blanchard had exchanged images with Tracy Lyons, of Portsmouth; Tracy Dawber, of Southport; Angela Allen, of Nottingham, and Vanessa George, of Plymouth.

Sterling Event Group has announced its latest project in collaboration with The University of Chester. For this project, Sterling Events has supplied the University’s School of Arts and Media main performance spaces with an energy efficient lighting solution upgrade.
The company’s technical expertise and over 20 years’ experience within the industry enabled them to provide extensive guidance on the array of fixture options available to the University. From the outset, Sterling Event Group worked closely with The University of Chester’s Technical team leader to devise a solution for the two studios (to be used for dance, drama, live music performances and conferences) that encompassed energy saving and production quality enhancing properties.
