First of all, 2021 marks the veteran radio personality’s fifth anniversary at 94.3 The Drive, where he and Vicki Shae co-host Tom & Vicki Mornings weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. Secondly, it’s been 40 years, give or take, that local listeners have been treated to his trademark cackle, as recognizable a roar as there is in the biz.

The B.C. government has announced the recipients of the province s music fund, Amplify BC, which is administered by Creative BC. Music has provided us comfort during this pandemic and the people behind the industry need our support now to come back strong in the future, says Melanie Mark, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, in a news release. We re proud to help B.C. artists grow their careers so they can keep sharing their talent and inspiring people both here and around the world.
According to the province, 113 emerging and established bands and musicians have received $1.27 million through Amplify BC, which they can use to record, make music videos, or market their music.
