Guilty plea entered in drug death of Vine founder Colin Kroll

The CEO of HQ Trivia and co-founder of Vine was found dead in his SOHO apartment. The cause of death is an apparent drug overdose. The leader of a drug-trafficking organization pleaded guilty Tuesday in Manhattan federal court to conspiring to distribute heroin, cocaine and fentanyl, including the drugs that caused the 2018 death of Colin Kroll, the co-founder of the video-hosting service Vine and the trivia game application HQ Trivia. Ariel Tavarez ran an on-demand delivery service known as Mike’s Candyshop that sold addictive and dangerous drugs to customers throughout New York City, Manhattan U.S. attorney Audrey Strauss said. She said Mr. Tavarez sometimes secretly laced drugs with deadly synthetic opioids, such as fentanyl.

My experience playing HQ Trivia

There are literally thousands of brain games on your smartphone’s application store. Naturally, as your neighborhood game show enthusiast, I find myself downloading ones based on game shows. But one in particular stuck out at me, because it is essentially its own self-contained game show: HQ Trivia. It’s published by Intermedia Labs and was co-developed by Rus Yusupov and Colin Kroll, who developed the defunct video hosting service, Vine. It first came out in 2017. The way it works is you download the HQ Trivia app, then set aside 7-7:30 p.m. (MT) each day of the week (at least on your free days) and launch the app just before the top of the hour.
