Courtesy-Heritage Fund FB page COLUMBUS, Ind. – Heritage Fund-The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County (HFBC) recently awarded $60,000 to local nonprofits from its Community Fund as part of its second-quarter grants cycle. The Columbus Area Arts Council received $25,000 to support the Sixth Street Arts Alley project. Love Chapel was gifted $22,000 for strategic organizational planning. Servants at Work was awarded $9,000 which will go to building ramps for low-income, disabled Bartholomew County residents. And, Family School Partners received $4,000 to support strategic organizational planning. Through the generous support of community members, HFBC annually distributes around $650,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations from the unrestricted Community Fund. The money helps meet emerging needs in Bartholomew County in the areas of Youth Development, Substance Abuse, Neighborhood Revitalization, Innovation, and more.
