(WTVM) - Nate O’Brien’s wrister from the blue line in the second overtime gave the Columbus River Dragons a 4-3 win over the Elmira Enforcers on Saturday night at First Arena in Elmira, N.Y. in game two of the FPHL Ignite Cup Finals, giving the Dragons a 2-0 lead in the series. The overtime periods almost didn’t happen. Warm temperatures in upstate New York contributed to ice problems, large cracks that appeared near both blue lines. The First Arena ice crew managed to repair the issue, allowing the game to finish.

Pietrantonio’s first goal gave the Dragons a 2-1 lead at the 5:04 mark of the first period. His second came at 13;27 of the period to make it 3-2. He assisted on last goal of the night, a perfect centering pass to Mac Jansen with 52 seconds remaining in the second period.

The Prowlers opened the scoring on a first period goal by Thomas Municiello. The Dragons evened things up in the second period on a score by C.J. Stubbs. Third period goals by Nate O’Brien and Josh Pietrantonio provided the margin of victory.
