India became the biggest Covid-19 hotspot in the world recording highest number of daily cases of coronavirus infections. The country on Saturday recorded 1,45,384 new Covid-19 cases and 794 fatalities due to the infection. Ten states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan have shown a steep rise in daily Covid-19 cases accounting for over 83 per cent of the fresh cases.
