Coronavirus kills 22 Pakistanis, infects 1,592 in one day

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 22 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 592,100. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 13,227 on Monday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,592 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 259,855 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 177,823 in Punjab 74,027 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 45,740 in Islamabad, 19,117 in Balochistan, 10,579 in Azad Kashmir and 4,959 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 38 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 588,728. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 13,166 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,714 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 259,392 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 175,964 in Punjab 73,515 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 45,329 in Islamabad, 19,106 in Balochistan, 10,464 in Azad Kashmir and 4,958 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Chennai: The pace is picking in Tamil Nadu as it has reported a spike in Covid vaccination numbers for a fourth straight day with more than 81,000 people getting inculcated in the last 24 hours in the state.
According to the state government, more than 6.7 lakh people have been vaccinated against coronavirus in Tamil Nadu so far.
Meanwhile, as many as 482 new cases and four deaths were reported in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. With this, the total number of infected patients rose to 8.53 lakh, while the death mounted 12,508, the health department said.

Mumbai Police has arrested a man who has been accused of posing as BMC marshal or police officer and extorting money people in the name of fines for not wearing masks.
The accused has been identified as Amit Tawde, 25, a resident of Mulund area in Mumbai. According to police officials, Tawde is unemployed and in order to earn quick money he thought of duping people for not wearing masks. He used to target people at night and escape on his bike.
