It’s yet another cigar that will follow a recent trend of Nicaraguan manufacturers working with African Cameroon wrapper, something that isn’t historically a commonplace combination. underneath the Cameroon wrapper is a Nicaraguan habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers. It will be offered in two sizes: Black Works Studio Corona Gorda (5 x 46) $12 (Box fo 20, $240) Black Works Studio Lonsdale (6 1/2 x 42) $12.50 (Box of 20, $250) Production is limited to 700 boxes of each size, both of which have a rabito cap, a shape that looks like a nipple. The company says it will be offered to stores in the U.S. and Europe.

A café cover leaf from Jalapa envelops a double binder and filler tobaccos of predominantly Criollo 98 with a just touch of Corojo 99. “ A constant challenge is utilizing tobaccos to create blends which are outstanding expressions of our signature flavor and aroma while still producing them in quantities viable to sustain production consistently rather than just as one time limited editions or available only sporadically throughout the year.” states Terence Reilly, who serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “

Share Photos/Aganorsa Leaf Aganorsa Leaf is about to release a new line of cigars called Rare Leaf Reserve, smokes rolled with rare tobaccos that the company grows in in small quantities. The new line is expected to ship to retailers in February. The Rare Leaf Reserve line was created to make a regular production line of cigars made from low-yield tobaccos grown on specific farms owned by Aganorsa. The cigars are Nicaraguan puros, which consist of a wrapper grown in Jalapa, a pair of Criollo ‘98 binders from two different farms in Estelí and a filler blend that is predominantly Criollo ’98, with a little Corojo ’99 also added to the mix.
