South Korean network MBC faces outrage for using inappropriate graphics to represent countries

South Korean television network MBC has apologized for the graphics that accompanied athletes of several countries as they marched in during the Opening Ceremony s Parade of Nations Friday.
Among the images criticized by viewers was that of the destroyed nuclear power plant in Chernobyl as Ukraine s flag-bearers entered. And Haitian athletes arrived alongside a caption reading, The political situation is fogged by the assassination of the president.

SEOUL, Feb. 18 (UPI) South Korean LGBTQ rights groups have condemned broadcaster SBS for censoring gay kiss scenes from the 2018 film
Bohemian Rhapsody, which focused on the life of rock band Queen lead vocalist Freddie Mercury.
One of South Korea s three major TV networks, SBS, aired
Bohemian Rhapsody on Saturday evening as a part of a three-day blockbuster movie marathon to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Local e-commerce firms such as Coupang, Gmarket and Auction are embroiled in controversy for selling clothing items with the names of pornographic websites printed on them. Customers can also purchase other goods with logos on them such as Pornhub and XVideos, regardless of their age.
Coupang has deleted its pornographic website-related items as of Monday, but Pornhub Hoodie and Pornhub T-shirt still bring results if users search for Pornhub.
Such items were available at Interpark and WeMakePrice until Monday after they too deleted them.
Despite the controversy, none of the market players are taking any serious action. E-commerce firms say ex-ante control would limit the freedom of their open market platforms.
