Several myths and fake news around COVID 19 vaccine have been circulating on the Internet. Many reports claimed that the Coronavirus vaccine has a negative effect on the child-bearing capacity of women. However, quashing rumours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare took to its verified Twitter account and shared information regarding the same. Sharing an infographic, the ministry debunked the myth. Dr. Arun Sharma busts the myth and fake rumour. He clarifies that #COVIDVaccine has no negative effect on child-bearing capacity of women, the tweet read.
This is not the first time that such rumours found space on the Internet. Earlier several social media posts claimed that menstruating women should avoid taking vaccination during and five days before and after their menses. More than 56 lakh doses in addition will be received by the States for the next three days The Centre has reiterated that as of May 2 it has provided 16.54 crore vaccine shots to states/UTs for free and more than 78 lakh doses are still available with them to be administered.
More than 56 lakh doses in addition will be received by the States for the next three days, an official statement said. Under the phase 3 vaccination strategy for the 18-44 age group, the Government would continue to procure its share of 50 per cent of the monthly central drugs laboratory or CDL cleared vaccines and would continue to make it available to the state governments totally free of cost as was being done earlier, it said.

Adar Poonawalla whose firm makes India s most used COVID vaccine on Monday ruled out the possibility of ramping up production overnight, saying vaccine making is a specialised process. The CEO of Serum Institute of India (SII) also said the population of India is huge and to produce enough doses for all adults is not an easy task.
