Justin Herbert needed two tries, but he finally scored the game-winning touchdown.
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback scored on 1-yard quarterback sneak for the game-winning touchdown in the Chargers’ 30-27 overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday night.
Herbert nearly blew the game for the Chargers (5-9) after he fumbled while attempting his first sneak attempt on the previous play. Quarterback Justin Herbert led the Los Angeles Chargers on a game-winning drive for the second straight week on Thursday, beating the Las Vegas Raiders30-27 in overtime. It was the Chargers first win in the division since beating the Denver Broncos in Week 17 of 2018, breaking a nine-game AFC West losing streak.
The Raiders capped a weird game with a bizarre ending. On the second-to-last play of the game at Allegiant Stadium, Herbert fumbled in the end zone on an attempted quarterback sneak, and the ball was recovered by Chargers fullback Gabe Nabers. But because of a rule that only the fumbler can advance the ball in the final two minutes of a half, it was placed back at the 1-yard line. Herbert then leaped over the goal line on the next play, stretching the ball out for the winning TD.

The Chargers (5-9) were able to snap a nine-game losing streak to the AFC West after their 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders (7-7). This game had so many twists and turns a perfect Las Vegas story. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr went out with a groin injury, so Marcus Mariota took over and had himself a performance.
The Chargers defense had a hard time stopping the former Oregon Duck quarterback’s arm and his legs. While the Chargers offense got jump started in the first half and slowed down a bit in the second half something, we have seen all year.

ROOKIE QUARTERBACK JUSTIN Herbert sneaked into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown in overtime as the banged-up Los Angeles Chargers beat Las Vegas 30-27, dealing a crushing blow to the Raiders’ slim playoff hopes.
The 22-year-old Herbert set the stage for the winning touchdown with a 53-yard strike to receiver Jalen Guyton, who was stopped at the Raiders’ two-yard line.
