Justin Herbert needed two tries, but he finally scored the game-winning touchdown.
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback scored on 1-yard quarterback sneak for the game-winning touchdown in the Chargers’ 30-27 overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday night.
Herbert nearly blew the game for the Chargers (5-9) after he fumbled while attempting his first sneak attempt on the previous play. The football was knocked out his hands and the ball bounced into the end zone. The ball was recovered Chargers’ fullback Gabe Nabers in the end zone. However, by rule a fumble that advances forward in the final two minutes of the game cannot be recovered by anyone other the player who fumbled the ball. The Chargers maintained possession at the Raiders’ 1.
