SANTA MONICA, CA Interim City Manager Lane Dilg is leaving her post in Santa Monica as her family relocates to another area.
Dilg stepped into the role in April, following the news from former City Manager Rick Cole that he was stepping down as the city s budget crisis mounted amid the coronavirus pandemic. Across my career, I have been immensely proud to dedicate myself to the public good. Serving the city of Santa Monica as interim city manager during the pandemic has been no exception, Dilg said in a statement issued Monday. In the months to come, I remain fully committed to our ongoing work together to craft a thriving, more equitable Santa Monica as the pandemic subsides and the economy lifts. Kaiser Permanente Redwood City new medical office opens early 2021
Kaiser Permanente Redwood City is among 16 Kaiser Permanente Northern California hospitals recognized by the Leapfrog Group with a top score of A in its annual safety report, which examined and graded more than 2,600 hospitals throughout the United States.
Other Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Northern California with A scores include: Fremont, Fresno, Manteca, Modesto, Oakland, Richmond, Roseville, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Rafael, Santa Clara, Santa Rosa, South San Francisco, Vacaville and Vallejo. Additionally, Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Antioch, San Jose, South Sacramento and Walnut Creek received a B score.

SANTA MONICA, CA Providence Southern California, with 11 hospitals across three counties, including its facility in Santa Monica, will begin administering Pfizer vaccines to front-line caregivers this week. Not since the polio vaccine in the 1950s has the public so anxiously awaited an injection expected to conquer dreaded illness, Providence announced Monday. Providence is eager to receive in the coming days its first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccines.
Following the vaccinations for health care workers, the group will follow federal recommendations on vaccines for vulnerable groups next in line for the sought after COVID-19 vaccine.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA The first batches of Pfizer s long-awaited COVID-19 vaccine arrived in San Diego County Monday for both U.S. Department of Defense personnel and civilians, with initial vaccinations to begin as soon as Tuesday.
Naval Medical Center San Diego received an unspecified number of vaccines Monday, with front-line medical workers and essential mission personnel such as EMS, firefighters and gate personnel to begin receiving the first dose of the vaccinations Tuesday.
