Idaho Drinks More Wine Than Any State in the Country

Last week, Marco shared an article explaining how Idaho earned the rank of being one of the least angry states in the country. One of our listeners was quick to find out that it s because we re the wine drinking capital of the United States.  Jessie R. isn t wrong! MSN recently revisited Vine Pair s 2020 ranking of which states drank the most wine per capita and sure enough, Idaho took the top spot. According to the numbers that VinePair crunched Idaho residents drinking about 1.2 gallons of wine per capita. Washington D.C. took the #2 spot (1.02 gallons) and New Hampshire checked in at #3 (.84 gallons.)

Regardless of what name it goes by, champagne is made through a specific process, and without it, we wouldn t have those gas station bottles of André to bring in the New Year, or Cristal with which to drain our bank accounts when we want to impress a date. Champagne has become a symbol for celebration and a mark of status. It s not just wine; it s . uh . wine with bubbles and a fancy name.
