Galesburg man Kyle Reddick was scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Knox County Circuit Court for his attempted murder case Monday but was granted a continuance.
Reddick appeared in police custody in court but requested a continuance to give time to meet with his recently hired private counsel, Steven Glasgow.
State’s Attorney Jeremy Karlin had no objection to granting the continuance. Reddick’s preliminary hearing is now set to take place on Mar 29th.
Reddick is charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder related to incident police referred to as a “targeted incident.”
The four victims were said to be in a vehicle in the driveway in front of a residence in the 1000 block of Monroe St. Reddick is believed to have then fired the shots into the vehicle, striking all occupants. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
According to police Reddick was known to some of the people involved in the incident.
More than three weeks later, police confirmed Reddick had been located and arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken into custody on Saturday, January 23 by the US Marshal s Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.

A man is wanted in connection to a shooting on New Year’s Day in Galesburg.
A warrant for the arrest of Kyle Reddick has been issued for four counts of attempted first degree murder. In a release on Wednesday, Galesburg police said that Reddick has not yet been taken into custody. Investigators say four people were hurt in the shooting on the morning of New Year’s Day.
In a Facebook post on the police department’s page, investigators said that the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Monroe Street. When officers arrived on the scene, the four victims were found in a car in the driveway of the home, which is just a few blocks away from the Churchill Junior High School.
