UTC Softball Swept By UNCG, Continue Slide
Mocs Have dropped Last Five SoCon Contests Sunday, April 18, 2021
The Chattanooga Mocs softball team saw another late inning lead evaporate and suffered a Southern Conference three-game series sweep during a 10-5 loss to UNCG in the series finale on a sunny Sunday afternoon inside Jim Frost Stadium.
Following the pair of defeats, Chattanooga falls to 9-21 overall and 5-6 in league action. UTC has dropped its last five conference games after racing out to a 5-1 start. UNCG improves to 6-3 in conference play and 21-14 overall.

UNCG 10, Chattanooga 5 For the third-straight game of the series, Chattanooga struck first and raced out to an early lead. Regan Armour opened the game’s scoring in the bottom of the second with a two-run double to right, scoring Gracey Kruse and Hayleigh Weissenbach to give the Mocs a 2-0 lead.
Mocs Softball Clinch Three Game Series Win At ETSU Saturday, April 3, 2021 The Chattanooga Mocs softball team earned a hard-fought 3-2 win in 11 innings to clinch a three-game series sweep over rival ETSU on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Johnson City, Tenn. The game marked the longest (by inning) in Betty Basler Field history. Following the victory, Chattanooga is now winners of four of its last five and improve to 4-1 in SoCon play and 8-16 overall. ETSU falls to 13-11 overall and 1-5 in league action. UTC 3, ETSU 2 (11) Chattanooga had multiple opportunities to cash in on offense over the first three innings to aid starting pitcher Brooke Parrott.
Mocs Softball Wins Two Over Tennessee Tech Friday, February 26, 2021 Senior Cameren Swafford ripped a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh of game one and belted an eventual game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the sixth in game two, helping the Chattanooga Mocs softball team to a pair of one run victories, 5-4 and 6-5, against Tennessee Tech on Thursday inside Jim Frost Stadium Chattanooga improves its season mark to 4-4 overall following the two wins. Tennessee Tech drops to a similar 4-4 record. Hayleigh Weissenbach broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the second in game one with an RBI single through the right side to put UTC ahead 1-0.
