In 1984, the year after her Women’s American Basketball Association championship victory with the Dallas Diamonds, Nancy Lieberman was a reigning champion in a league that folded almost as quickly as it started. In the midst of deliberating her next plan of action to continue playing basketball, Lieberman received word that David Stern, then NBA commissioner, wanted her to come to New York to speak with him. FOX has renewed television’s #1 new comedy, CALL ME KAT, starring Emmy Award nominee Mayim Bialik and executive-produced by Jim Parsons and Bialik, for a second season, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment, FOX Entertainment.
“We are excited to renew CALL ME KAT and have Mayim, Cheyenne, Swoosie, Leslie, Kyla and Julian return for their second season. Julian Gant also star in the series that centered on Kat, who spends her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky.
