ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan, during his visit to Gilgit-Baltistan today (Friday) will inaugurate the three major Ehsaas programmes in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): In Gilgit, he will announce the province-wide roll out of Ehsaas Nashonuma, Ehsaas Secondary Education Stipends and Ehsaas One Woman One Account initiatives across the region.
So far, 8 Ehsaas Nashonuma centers have been opened in 3 districts of GB including Diamer, Astore and Kharmang. In collaboration with the provincial government of GB, a detailed roadmap has been developed to open Ehsaas Nashonuma centers in every district of GB. Ehsaas Nashonuma is pegged on improving nutrition and health in the first thousand days of life, starting at conception and finishing at age of two.

ISLAMABAD, April 27 (Gwadar Pro)- The consumption of dates, especially in its natural form, is an essential part of the Ramadan diet; dates are an unmissable part of iftar (breaking of fast) and Suhur (pre-dawn meal).
Dates are the third largest horticulture crop in Pakistan, which is found in all four provinces of the country. Pakistan produces one of the best dates in the world and the country has the potential to become a leader in date production and export; however, due to connectivity problems, lack of suitable agricultural machinery and date processing units, the desired results have not been achieved so far. As China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is poised to usher in a new era of trade and growth, Pakistani date growers pin their hopes on its different projects to help bring revolution in date farming.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Six persons, including four of a family, were killed in fog-related accidents here on Saturday night.
Reportedly, six members of a family were on their way to their home at Khairpur (Sindh) from Islamabad by a car. When they reached between the interchanges of Gojra and Toba Tek Singh on Motorway M-4, their car collided with a trailer due to thick fog.
As a result, four of them died on the spot. They were identified as Saima Parveen, wife of Muhammad Zubair, Huzaifa, son of Muhammad Zubair, Hafza Bibi, 5, daughter of Muhammad Zubair, and Mishra, 13, daughter of Muhammad Zubair. Both injured, Muhammad Zubair and his son Hamza, were rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
