SANTA FE, N.M. The city of Santa Fe announced Tuesday that it will fill newly open positions with current employees who will wear two hats.
Kristine Bustos-Mihelcic, currently director of constituent services, will take on an additional role of city clerk upon the retirement of Yolanda Vigil on Dec. 31.
Under the city charter, the mayor chooses the city clerk for City Council approval. A special meeting of the council will be held Jan. 4 for that purpose, according to a news release.
If approved, Bustos-Mihelcic, a Santa Fe native, would hold the title of City Clerk/Director of the Office of Public Engagement. Currently paid an annual salary of $96,900, she would earn $115,000 in 2021.
