WINDSOR, N.C. The non-profit organization NC Med Assist will hand out pharmaceutical and over-the-counter medication to the public during its Mobile Free Pharmacy drive-thru on Thursday, May 20.
NC Med Assist, which serves North Carolina residents with medications at no charge, will provide cough and cold medicines, vitamins, allergy medication and first aid supplies, among other items.
The drive-thru will be at the Cashie Convention Center located at 118 County Farm Road in Windsor, Bertie County, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The non-profit holds similar drive-thrus throughout North Carolina to help individuals and their families who may not be able to afford these medications or are uninsured.
Nonprofit NC MedAssist and Vidant Bertie Hospital are partnering to hold a Mobile Free Pharmacy event Thursday, May 20, giving away cough and cold medicine, vitamins, allergy medication, first aid supplies and more to any individual or family in need of medicine.

KINSTON, N.C., March 10, 2021 /PRNewswire/ WellCare of North Carolina (WellCare) and NC MedAssist will host a Mobile Free Pharmacy Event in Lenoir County on March 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at Grainger Stadium (400 E Grainger Ave., Kinston, NC 28502) and is open to any individual or family in need of over-the-counter (OTC) medications. Participants must be at least 18 years old to receive medicine. No identification is required.
