Pak authorities approve PKR 23 m to buy ancestral houses of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor in Peshawar ANI | Updated: Jan 03, 2021 22:00 IST
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [Pakistan], January 3 (ANI): For the purchase of the ancestral houses of legendary Indian actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor located in the walled city of Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has approved an amount of PKR 23.56 million, The Express Tribune reported.
The amount will soon be released to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) for payment to the landowners.
The Raj Kapoor s ancestral haveli at Ander Shaher Bazaar will be bought for Rs 15 million and Dilip Kumar s house in Mohalla Khudadad will be acquired for Rs 8.56 million.
Federal IT Minister hails 33% women among graduating startups of NIC Peshawar

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The National Incubation Center (NIC) Peshawar hosted the 2nd Graduation Ceremony on Monday to celebrate the achievements of its third and fourth cohort startups.
The Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haque was the Chief Guest at the Ceremony.
Syed Amin-ul-Haque was accompanied by the political leadership from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the CEO Ignite, the LMKT team, and other dignitaries.
The NIC Peshawar is an initiative of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication funded by Ignite and operated by the LMKT in collaboration with the PTCL.

Shahbaz Gill held a press conference on Wednesday along with Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information Kamran Bangash and condemned the statements given by Fazal-ur-Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
“Fazal-ur-Rehman used inappropriate words for Pashtuns and Mahmood Achakzai hurt the sentiments of Punjabis in Punjab. Prime Minister Imran Khan had said beforehand that all thieves will unite when action will be taken against them.
CM condoles death of doctors

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Mahmood Khan on Monday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Prof Dr Almas Afridi and Prof Dr Hassan Shehzad, who succumbed to the coronavirus infection.
In a condolence message, the chief minister extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace He lauded services of the doctors and health workers who were working on the frontline to save the lives of other patients during the pandemic. He said the government appreciated their invaluable services and sacrifices in the Covid-19 pandemic.
