KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) As Kalamazoo Bike Week continues, a sad incident occurred on Wednesday morning as a bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle.
It happened on “KL” Ave. near Drake Rd. where 61-year-old David Conley of Kalamazoo was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 23-year-old woman from Concord, is said to be fully cooperating with authorities, and drugs and alcohol were not factors. Police did say that Conley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – UPDATE: A woman arrested for her involvement in a Kalamazoo Township double homicide will stand trial, according to a report from MLive Tuesday.
Previously, police were investigating the double homicide of Floyd Lee Brashers Junior and Katoya Johnna McPherson, who were reported dead on December 29, 2020. Police say the incident occurred in the 3500 block of Parkside Drive.
On February 22, police arrested 19-year-old Tonesha Taylor-McMillon on two counts of open murder.
Following this development, on March 29, police arrested a 24-year-old man on two counts of felony murder, three counts of felony firearm, and one count of first degree home invasion. That suspect was identified as Dangelo Davis of Kalamazoo.
