KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) A woman from the Kalamazoo area has been missing since Easter, and according to a family member, could be in danger. 36-year-old Lisa Perkins was last heard from on Sunday, April 4, and was supposed to be heading to Texas to visit her sister, Stefanie Graf.
Graf says she had phone conversations and messages with Lisa leading up to her disappearance that led her to believe that she could be currently held against her will. Family members say Lisa told them that several items were taken from her, including her birth certificate and Social Security card, by a man she said she was staying with. The Kalamazoo Metro SWAT Team conducted scenario training at Miller Auditorium Wednesday, April 14. These trainings test the SWAT officers on their skills for possible real-life scenarios, said Robert Holdwick, Kalamazoo Public Safety lieutenant.Â
âWe need to be prepared if there is an incident, not specifically any college campus, but at a location where there would be a large number of people,â Holdwick said. âMiller Auditorium happens to be a place where a lot of people gather, so weâd like to be able to respond to that.â
The Kalamazoo Metro Swat is a multi-jurisdictional team composed of members from KDPS, Portage Public Safety, Kalamazoo County Sheriffâs Office and Kalamazoo Township Police. Members of WMU Public Safety are also a part of the SWAT team.

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Michigan State Police officials are asking for the public’s help to try and locate a fugitive from Kalamazoo County.
35-year-old Antonio Perkins is wanted for failing to appear in court related to a shooting incident in January of 2019. Perkins is accused of shooting multiple rounds into a Kalamazoo Township home in the 4000 block of Grand Prairie Road. Eleven days later, the home was intentionally set on fire, claiming the life of 71-year-old Gary Robert Selig.
Perkins is described as a black male, 5â 4â³ tall, weighing 150 pounds. Based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections, Perkins has two prior felony convictions both related to weapons.
