KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) The Kalamazoo Astronomical Society has announced a couple of events that will take place in April for those interested in exploring the night sky with high-powered telescopes.
The events will take place at the Owl Observatory at the Kalamazoo Nature Center on North Westnedge Ave.. Along with observing through telescopes, KAS members will be on hand at the start of each session to conduct a Telescope Clinic. Beginners can learn how to properly setup and use their telescopes.
Each session also features a Constellation Workshop. Learn to read a simple star map (provided free of charge) and find bright stars and constellations on your own. The workshop is followed by a guided tour of the night sky.
