A familiar face will represent the Liberals in the provincial riding of Lunenburg when the next election is called.
Suzanne Lohnes-Croft has represented the South Shore riding since 2013 and was not challenged in her nomination bid to run for the party again.
“I am excited to have the opportunity once again to serve the people of Lunenburg,” says Lohnes-Croft. “I am proud of the work we have done as a government, but there is still more to do. I am committed to getting the job done in a new Liberal government.”
Lohnes-Croft is currently the Minister of Communities Culture and Heritage and Minister of Gaelic Affairs.

Iain Rankin is officially the province’s new premier.
Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc conducted the swearing-in ceremony in Halifax Tuesday morning.
Rankin is the 29th premier of the province; his cabinet, which has 16 ministers, is a mix of new and old faces.
It includes the two other candidates he beat for the provincial Liberal leadership Feb. 6- Randy Delorey is the province’s new justice minister and the minister of labour relations, while Labi Kousoulis becomes finance minister.
Other familiar faces include Kelly Regan as deputy premier, Zach Churchill as health and wellness minister, which includes the new office of mental health and addictions, and Lloyd Hines, the former transportation minister whose portfolio becomes transportation and active transit.
