Few words can describe the emotion from @annacockrell48 after qualifying for the #TokyoOlympics.
All-American sprinter and hurdler Anna Cockrell was a star on the USC track and field team, and now she s headed to Tokyo for the 2021 Olympics in just a few weeks. After Cockrell got third place in the 400-meter hurdles and qualified for Tokyo, she gave an emotional speech to reporters where she detailed how far she has come mentally in just a couple years. I just trained really hard for this, I worked really hard for this, she said. In 2019 I was super depressed, I didn t want to be here anymore so to be standing here today as an Olympian is like more than I can take.
