ALBION â Itâs a problem, but itâs not just Noble Countyâs issue.
Local emergency responders say there are times that Parkview EMS only has three ambulances â and sometimes just two â on duty in Noble County.
Under terms of a contract with the Noble County Commissioners, Parkview Health is supposed to provide four ambulances in Noble County. The commissioners pay $340,000 per year for that service.
The issue is a lack of EMTs, particularly those willing to work in Noble and LaGrange counties.
But the problem isnât isolated to those two counties.
The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, which provides EMS services in Allen County, recently declared its own emergency measures due to low staffing issues. Those staffing issues have created longer response times than the company has promised, according to WANE-TV reporting.

After years of of trying to figure out what to do with the contaminated leachate that comes to the surface with the water, the Noble County Commissioners Monday moved closer to a solution that would take a different approach.
During Mondayâs regularly scheduled meeting, the commissioners got a cost proposal from Applied Natural Sciences Inc., a company that has had success controlling leachate by strategically planting trees that soak up the water, eliminating the carrying agent that moves the contaminants to the surface.
