The programme will also support the National History Museum s Dippy on Tour, with its much-loved Diplodocus coming to Norwich Cathedral from July 13 to October 30.
On the day Dippy arrives, there will be a Circus Spectacular and an animal theme will run throughout Interlude in the Close.
The season will culminate with a week of circus performances from Norwich s own Lost in Translation Circus, alongside other international companies. There will also be a programme of activities
for school-age children and community groups.

Stephen Crocker, chief executive and creative director of Norwich Theatre, said: “Interlude was originally conceived as a hugely creative, boldly ambitious and proudly resilient response to bringing back live performance to Norwich in a safe way and that remains at the heart of Interlude in the Close.

Comedians Rob Beckett, Al Murray, Dara Ó Briain and Ed Byrne will bring the laughs when Cambridge Comedy Festival comes to Abbots Ripton near Huntingdon.
The three-day event from Friday July 9 to Sunday July 11 will feature the best circuit acts, left-field fringe performers, plus live podcast and family shows and all set in the beautiful open-air location.
The festival will take place on Grange Farm in Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon, which is where the Secret Garden Party was held.
Obviously creating such an ambitious event, which will basically be the UK’s first-ever all comedy, three-day festival with camping, is a huge project. I guess I must be a bit bonkers attempting it during the world’s worst pandemic for 100 years but what the heck, we’re going for it anyway as we all need a good laugh and weekend away.”
