Representatives were on hand for the announcement at the Cap-Pelé arena on Wednesday morning. Contributions from the Government of Canada’s Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program and the Government of New Brunswick account for about $9.4 million. The Village of Cap-Pele is also on the hook for over $4.1 million of the projects costs. The Cap-Pelé Intergenerational Community Centre will feature a multi-use room, a 140-metre walking track, three meeting rooms and a social lounge.
