Wild garden at Clyde Primary school campus in Yoker is all set for a new lease of life

PUPILS at a Yoker school campus are set to see new life breathed into their much-loved wild garden. Funding of more than £8,000 will allow the facility at Clyde Primary in Yoker to be rebuilt. The school’s parent council received £6,633 from the Glasgow Area Partnership, while additional pledges of £1,450 will help meet the total cost of the project. Though the bid for funding was made by Clyde Primary’s parent council, the garden, when it’s rebuilt, will also be used by children at St Brendan’s Primary School and Yokerburn Nursery, who share the Hawick Street campus. Ashleigh McDonald, chair of the Clyde Primary School parent council, said: “The grant is not just for Clyde Primary, it is for the campus. Between the three establishments, there are around 650 children.
